This notice explains how SediaSafety, operated by ArkMind Technology Sdn Bhd ("we", "us"), handles personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), as amended in 2024. It is given in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
What we collect
- From the Free JISA Check: your name, role, company name, SSM number, phone or WhatsApp number, email, fleet size, and the vehicle lists, driver lists and documents you choose to upload.
- From customers of the portal: account details of the people you invite, and the fleet, driver and compliance records you keep in SediaSafety.
- From this website: a small amount of information stored in your browser to keep your Free JISA Check progress and to know which page or campaign brought you here. We do not use advertising cookies.
Documents you upload can contain other people’s personal data, such as your drivers’ IC and licence details. Please share them only when you are entitled to.
Why we use it
- To prepare your Free JISA Check result and contact you about it.
- To provide, support and bill the SediaSafety service.
- To keep the records your company needs for JISA and other legal duties.
- To improve the service and keep it secure.
We do not sell personal data.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers who host, store or process data for us under contract (cloud hosting, email and messaging, and the document-reading service that helps us read uploaded documents), and with authorities when the law requires it. How long we keep it
Free JISA Check data is kept for [period to be confirmed by Ken]. Compliance records in the portal are kept for 7 years, the period JISA evidence must be available. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You may ask to see or correct your personal data, withdraw your consent, or limit how we use it. Some services cannot be provided without the data they need. We will reply within 21 days.
Security and data breaches
We protect data with access control, encryption in transit and audit logs. If a breach is likely to cause significant harm, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commissioner and the people affected as the law requires.
